Bud Frank Theater hosts "King Coal" showing

On Tuesday, April 2, the Bud Frank Theater held a showing of Elaine McMillion Sheldon’s newest documentary "King Coal" (2023) and hosted a Q&A session with the filmmaker.

King Coal is a deeply emotional film that explores the pervasiveness of coal within Appalachia and how it has affected the people of the region. It sheds necessary light on the resilience— past and present— of this misunderstood population.
